60s Livingroom-style grandma café. Just drop in at the probably most comfy breakfast spot in town - we'll be happy to serve you.
I love this shop! I especially like the menu, and I can never make up my mind because everything I've ordered so far has been delicious. The facility invites you to linger and the staff are friendly and attentive.
Tasty cakes, friendly staff and amazing coffee
they didnt have any imported beers and craft beer during evening. place looks so small .
My friends and I visited the bar on October 22nd, 2020 at around 6:50 pm. We noticed a cheeky waiter (young, rather blond, lanky, male) very negatively. We found it uncomfortable when he also asked how much we wanted to pay, after notifying us of the outstanding invoice amount, instead of simply naming the invoice amount and waiting to see how much the customer would like to pay. I felt like the waiter was trying to pressure me into paying a good tip. I was very reluctant to do that, so I decided to leave a small tip. The waiter arrogantly refused. That is his decision. However, he was also rude and snapped at us to process the card payment faster. He also thanked the customers at the table who paid a tip. He announced to me that he would explicitly not thank you. I believe that this arrogance and rudeness is unprofessional. We will not visit this bar again and will share our negative experience on different channels. I would be happy to hear from the operator.
The dishes were not exceptional but the prices were correct. The place is nice and pleasant too. If a table is not available, the team will ask to leave rather than suggest solutions (wait, sit outside). Unfriendly, cheeky, intrusive service that actively asks for tips. I read far too often in their answers "in order to work economically, we have to ...". It is clear that their priority is money. We had ordered a lot and stayed at an empty table (at this point we were not taking anyone's place). Even so, we felt encouraged to leave. Too bad.
Unfortunately, very unfriendly staff. We asked kindly if they could turn the music down a bit (the loudspeaker was directly above our heads) and were interrupted with a "NO" while asking. Implementation was not an option either, although there was no logical justification for this. So I absolutely cannot recommend this café because it spoils your mood when you are friendly and still treated as if you had insulted them or provoked them in some way. Incomprehensible to me. In the end we were suddenly asked to pay 5 minutes before 8 p.m. because the next reservation would come. You could have politely told us at the beginning, then you plan differently. And, and, and ... The food is a matter of taste, drinks are delicious. Pity!
Today I was in the Trachtenvogl for the first time and unfortunately also for the last time. The waitresses were very unfriendly. Since the (music) loudspeakers were directly above us and it was just too loud for us, we asked if it was possible to implement it. The employee answered very rudely with "no" and then I guess I didn't want to serve us any more. Another employee was just as rude. Clap our glasses on the table and also when cashing in, he has almost thrown our debit cards on the table. Where are we, if you please? This should not happen in any gastronomy ... Unfortunately, I didn't like the food at all, you can tell: not prepared with love. The homemade iced tea was good. Still only one star!
Food is unfortunately the absolute standard. Were "asked" to leave without warning after two hours with the comment "the new reservation has arrived". Ten minutes earlier we ordered a drinks round and couldn't finish our map. Therefore I cannot recommend the Trachtenvogl.
WiFi available, but not suitable for work. Only 2h slots, then the next guest comes, even if you still want to order something.
Breakfast was ok, but only paying with card is not good, despite Corona etc. It must be possible to pay in cash! I do not come anymore.
The service was very friendly. The food was delicious and for Munich standards at a reasonable price
Amazing Ziegenkäse Sandwich. And sweet chai is very good as well
Great for having brunch. Portions are big enough to feed a hungover person. Small menu but great variety, even vegan friendly. Would recommend to have an online reservation as it can get full, but that is a great sign isn't it? Totally recommended.
Very nice place to have a brunch on a lazy Sunday, but book it with a week advance.
My new favorite place😍 Not only the world's best hot chocolate (I recommend hazelnut or coconut) but also the hottest dishes I've ever eaten !!! Would like to give 15 stars hahahah It's amazing, but accordingly well attended. Oh ... the service is also extremely personable and funny! If I had the money I would come here every day. : D
Very nice service. Thank you 👋
Very cozy place and you can also work here during the week in the cozy corner. The drinks are awesome anyway and the proximity to the Isar makes the place special.
Good little cafe on Reichenbachstrasse. The decoration is more in the direction of hipster / country style. The breakfast was very good and tasty. The service was very friendly and nice. The cafe was a bit too weak for us. The soft-boiled eggs were unfortunately hard-boiled. What bothered me was the cafe at 9 o'clock opens but there is already dirt from yesterday on the floor or the child seat was also dirty. A big minus point would be that the toilets do not look very inviting and it smells a bit unpleasant.
Very tasty and more than adequate breakfast. Had the mountain breakfast and a goat cheese ginger sandwich, both very tasty. Got a table for two even without a reservation😊
Friendly casual, great drinks and food.
Alternative setup, I personally like it. Makes it very cozy. We each had a big breakfast. I had a small order with scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious, excellent, bread was also handed in later Service 1a I'll be happy to come back!
I was there for breakfast and although it is not the cheapest for breakfast, it is super tasty and the portions are huge. I had the mountain breakfast and usually eat a lot. But I almost didn't make it. So it can also be shared well. The bread and ingredients were really tasty. The drinks are really cheap in comparison!
Great Atmosphere, managing to be relaxing even though it was busy. It was full on a weekday mid morning, but they managed to find me a small table. I came here for a late Breakfast. The food is good quality. The coffee is very good, not too bitter. The O-Saft not too sweet. But the highest praise is saved for the strawberry jam, with big pieces of strawberry, I was tempted to order more and just eat it with a spoon, but I was too full. I recommend reserving a table, and if you can't get seated, they do take away. (Recups only!) It's also very close to a U-Bahn station. So eat you Breakfast/Brunch here and then have fun exploring the Glockenbach area.
We had the vegan breakfast and though it's a bit pricey you get a good amount of saviour and sweet food with good quality and great taste. Definitely worth a visit
Service an unbelievable cheek! Without a reservation, the question of whether we can wait is answered: We don't want people to wait here. And that in such a derogatory tone that one cannot imagine. No matter how good and appetizing the food is, I definitely don't support giving someone a job like that. Better leave your money somewhere else.
I came here on Sunday morning at 9am for coffee & breakfast. This place was very busy and reservation is highly advisable. Food/coffee is delicious. I didn't quite enjoy the energy there - quite hectic with the waiters doing their best to satisfy customer demands, but that's my experience at the time I came. Definitely check it out, especially during the less busy times. Note, the menu is on the cafe's website.
Very good breakfast! Really recommended! The prices are really good for the great quality! We will be back again!
Really good hot drinks
All good. Nothing to complain. :)
The food is sooooo goooood. I got the spinach and brezen dumplings. AMAZING
Unfortunately we cannot join the many stars. In our view, the service was unfriendly. We didn't really feel welcome, but we stayed. It was a long time before breakfast came, which was good but not outstanding. Unfortunately, no reasons to come back again.
Cozy, friendly staff and nice food.
I was slightly sceptical but these guys sure know how to make a delicious breakfast!
This place is so lovely, the atmosphere is so nice and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was amazing and reasonably priced. Totally recommend it.
Just a minute walk from the Fraunhoferstraße U-Bahn station. I decided to sit outside even though it's winter with windy weather, because it was full inside. My mistake, as the service for us brave enough to bear the wind wasn't as good. Servers simply didn't come as often (maybe they didn't want to feel cold). I ordered the Haferl Kaffee (3,60) which was generous and tasted ok, but got cold pretty quickly (my fault as I was outside). Then I ordered a piece of the Himbeeretrufel. Excellent choice! Creamy with not so dominating hints of raspberry flavor, very nice. The crust on the bottom was just a little bit dry. To wrap it up, I went with the Schokotarte. Also a very good choice. It was fluffy and moist, not too sweet. Good experience overall, would've rated 5 stars if the service were better.
Delicious breakfast. A bit costly though.
One of our favorite places in Munich for breakfast/lunch. Great food and atmosphere
Really like this place. The waiters are friendly and always give you a smile. Coffee and cakes are very good. Food menu is okay, for me there is just a vegan version mostly missing.
This place has nice sandwiches and a changing daily menu. It has a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. The design inside is vintage and feels like a cozy living room. They also have musicians performing from time to time. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. The milkshakes are also fresh and delicious.
Yummy cakes and nice beverage selection. Fair prices. Staff are friendly. Popular and very crowded, it can take some waiting to find a table.. As with most cafes and bars in town, extremely noise with all the chatter around :) but the cakes are definitely worth the visit! Will go back for breakfast which looks interesting.
Great breakfast, cozy atmosphere.
Cozy atmosphere, vintage furniture, but always super busy.
One of the cosiest coffee and breakfast places in Munich
Nice place to enjoy breakfast. I had the big breakfast and was not disappointed. For the people with sweet tooth, the small breakfast is ideal. The jam was incredibly tasty and the coffees were well made. Overall, this is a place that I would recommend to go.
Great atmosphere for a late afternoon coffee and cake . It even does the job for an early beer in a short night out as they close early. The sofas are simple amazing
Such an unassuming cafe but with such tasty food! The breakfast smoothie bowl was really nice and so much food for the money! The only downside was that we had to sit outside because it was so busy (but a lovely lady brought us blankets to keep warm).
Nice an cosy place. They have old style and cosy furniture like arm chairs and sofas. Drinks are also good
"Berlin"-style place, authentic and in the midst of Munic. Take a bit of industrial flavor with vintage chic and you get the idea. Cool for a drink.
The place is nice, cosy place with a great staff. Had a fantastic Breakfast here. Really Nice. Oh! Do remember to go early so you get a place to sit !!
Super crowded almost 24/7. But it's worth it.
